**Terms & Conditions 2022 – valid without signature by payment of agreed upon deposit. Consultations are free of charge. Deposits are required in order to book an appointment and must be paid at the time of booking request. Deposits can range from ($50-$200). Deposits are non-refundable. Your deposit and appointment are booked for the idea discussed with the artist or staff at the time of booking. Your reference material and/or fonts must be provided at the time of booking. Failing to provide reference material on time or making last minute changes to your tattoo design may result in the loss of your appointment and your deposit. Please let the artist or staff know if you have any financial concerns/restrictions, or prior engagements at the time of booking that might interfere with your appointment. You must give at least 48 hours (2 days) notice to reschedule your appointment. Failing to do so will result in the loss of your deposit. Canceling your appointment entirely will also result in the loss of your deposit. Working Terms: I will treat you with all my trust, patience and respect if you are willing to do the same for me. Work on your design starts after we agree upon wants and needs, as well as potential outcomes and scheduling considerations. Any critique or input happens face to face at the times reserved for your project, only. I will not take critiques over social media or phone / text. You will have plenty of influence on your project during the design period(more than is usual) and we won’t start anything without your consent. Once we start the process of your tattoo, I will tattoo and you will get tattooed. Trust is an important aspect of this process. I trust you to care for your tattoo and show up on the agreed upon times, you trust me to do quality work. I won’t make any changes to anything we agreed upon without consulting you unless you have explicitly given me this kind of creative freedom. I will do my best to explain my choices to you and ensure that you feel educated in the decisions being made. If you suggest changes mid-project, I am not comfortable with for aesthetic or other reasons, I reserve the right to finish my work as planned (if possible) before implementing those changes to avoid regrets on both sides. Of course, my main goal is to finish the project to YOUR satisfaction, but your trust and patience is necessary for our work together. To protect my privacy and creative freedom, I reserve the right to pause or terminate the project should working with you become intolerable due to your neglect of any of the points in these Terms and Conditions. You acknowledge by signing this agreement that you have been given the full opportunity to ask all questions which you might have about the obtaining of a tattoo and that all your questions have been answered to your full satisfaction. You specifically acknowledge to have been advised of the facts and matters set forth below and agree as follows: If You have any condition that might affect the healing of this tattoo, you will advise me. You are not pregnant or nursing. You are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You do not have medical or skin conditions such as but not limited to: acne, scarring (Keloid) eczema, psoriasis, freckles, moles or sunburn in the area to be tattooed that may interfere with said tattoo. If you have any type of infection or rash anywhere on your body, you will advise me and we will come up with a plan that benefits the outcome of the tattoo, and is agreed upon by both you the clinet, and me the artist. You acknowledge it is not reasonably possible for me to determine whether you might have an allergic reaction to the pigments or processes used in your tattoo, and you agree to accept the risk that such a reaction is possible. Patch tests are recommended for all tattoos. If a patch test has been previously performed, proof of receipt of patch test must be provided to ensure pigments used are of same type, quality, and quantity as those previously tested. You acknowledge that infection is always possible as a result of the obtaining of a tattoo, particularly in the event that you do not take proper care of your tattoo. You will receive custom-made tattoo aftercare instructions and agree to follow them while your tattoo is healing. You agree that any touch-up work needed, due to your own negligence, will be done at your own expense. You realize that variations in color and design may exist between any tattoo as selected by you and as ultimately applied to your body. You understand that variations in the appearance of the color of your tattoo are possible depending on the color and condition of your skin. You understand that if you have any skin treatments, laser hair removal, plastic surgery or other skin altering procedures, it may result in adverse changes to your tattoo. You acknowledge that a tattoo is a permanent change to your appearance and that no representations have been made to you as to the ability to later change or remove your tattoo. To your knowledge, you do not have a physical, mental or medical impairment or disability which might affect your well-being as a direct or indirect result of your decision to have a tattoo. You acknowledge to be over the age of eighteen and that you have truthfully represented to your Tattoo Artist that the obtaining of a tattoo is by your choice alone. You consent to the application of the tattoo and to any actions or conduct for the procedure. BEFORE YOUR TATTOO Avoid partying (heavy drinking of alcohol or drug use) at least 48 hours prior to your tattoo appointment, as well as sun tanning and tanning beds. Get a good night sleep prior to your appointment. The healthier you are before hand the easier it will be for you and the artist to complete your tattoo session. It is very important that you eat before your appointment. Heavier meals such as pasta, potatoes, etc, and fruit juices will help make your session easier to handle. Never get tattooed on an empty stomach. Occasionally, due to circumstances the artist may fall behind schedule. This can be caused by a number of uncontrollable issues. If you are on a tight schedule, feel free to call the shop before your appointment to see how the day is going. DURING YOUR TATTOO Remember to wear/bring appropriate clothing to your tattoo appointment (shorts, sweatpants, tank top, etc) so that the area being tattooed is easily accessible to the artist. Cell phones/devices of any kind must be shut off or put on silent before entering the tattoo room as they are a distraction to the artist. If you’d like to listen to music/watch videos on your phone/device during your appointment please remember to bring headphones as to not distract the artist. By agreeing to these terms you are agreeing and consenting to having photos/ videos taken Due to COVID 19 restrictions you are not allowed to bring any additional people with you into the tattoo room. Under no circumstance are children allowed to sit and wait while their parents receive any kind of service. Do not bring your kids or friends to your tattoo appointment. AFTER YOUR TATTOO Healing time for most tattoos is 2-3 weeks. During this time you’ll need to avoid tanning beds, sun tanning and saunas as well as lakes, oceans, pools, hot tubs, baths (quick showers are ok) and any other body of water where bacteria may be present. Do your best not to over expose the area of your body that has been tattooed. Although guidelines to heal a tattoo vary from shop to shop, it is highly recommended that you follow our aftercare process. Failure to do so may result in a tattoo that does not show your idea or the artist’s work properly. Our healing guidelines are set for a reason. After the 2-3 week healing process if you feel like your tattoo may need a touch up, please consult with your artist first. There may be a small monetary charge for any and all touch ups due to the use of materials and setup costs Communication is important! If you have any questions before, during or after your tattoo, feel free to contact us. FONTS & LETTERING If you are incorporating text or lettering into your tattoo you’ll need to decide on a font. Fonts (or typefaces) refer to the style of lettering used. Common fonts are Times New Roman, Helvetica, Courier, etc. When selecting a font keep in mind more intricate/detailed fonts sometimes need to be bigger than you might anticipate to account of spacing. Keep an eye out for spacing inside the in the letters (A, a, B, b, d, e, etc. It’s very common for intricate letters tattooed too small or spaced too closely to bleed into each other, leaving your tattoo looking less than amazing. There are thousands and thousands of fonts out there so to help you decide we recommend using Dafont.com. Search through the site and find your favorite as well as a backup or two.
